Want to personalize your collage with text? Here's a step-by-step guide to help you add and edit text in the app — and explore all the fun customization options available!
📝 Add Text to Your Collage
In the collage editor, tap the Text
button in the bottom menu.
Tap the Keyboard icon to start typing your message.
🔤 Customize Your Text Style
Tap the ‘T’ icon to change the font.
Tap the ‘A’ icon to change the text color.
Use the eyedropper tool to pick a color from your collage — simply move it around the canvas to find the perfect shade.
Double tap your selected color, then tap the slider icon to adjust hue, saturation, brightness, and opacity.
🖍️ Edit you Text Background
Tap the ‘A with a background’ icon to add a background shape and color.
Choose your desired shape and color.
Tap the null icon to remove the background if you change your mind.

Double tap your selected color, then tap the slider iconto adjust hue, saturation, brightness, and opacity.
Note: For non-solid colors, only opacity can be adjusted.
🔧 Adjust Text Layout and Effects
- Tap the '
' icon to tweak: text size, width, curve, spacing, outline, and alignment.
Width of Text Outline and Shadow: Turn them on using the toggle, then adjust the thickness with the slider.
Color of Text Outline and Shadow: After turning on the toggle, change the color of the text outline or shadow directly from the menu.

Change Text Orientation: To switch text from horizontal to vertical, tap the
icon
- You can also resize text manually:
Pinch with two fingers to zoom in or out.
Or tap the text, then drag the double-headed arrow icon to resize.
To change the text box width, drag the green bar on the left side of the text box.
✅ Finalize or Edit Later
Tap the check mark icon when you're done editing.
Want to make changes later? Just double-tap the text on your collage at any time to re-edit.
FUN TIP:
For both iOS and Android, you can select Doodle from the editing menu and hand write your text. This adds a personal touch to your collages!
